Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops

Taking place after the jungle heat of Snake Eater, this PSP entry forces Naked Snake to build his own army from the ground up. Instead of a lone wolf mission, you are managing a squad of recruits, dragging unconscious guards across maps to bolster your ranks. It trades the series' traditional linear sprawl for bite-sized, mission-based gameplay that fits the handheld format. While the controls can feel a bit clunky by modern standards, it is a fascinating bridge in the franchise's lore, featuring striking comic-book style cutscenes and the experimental DNA that eventually evolved into the systems seen in later titles.
