STEINS;GATE 0

Forget the mad scientist persona; Steins;Gate 0 is a heavy, soul-crushing look at what happens when the hero gives up. This visual novel picks up on a tragic alternate worldline where Okabe fails to save the woman he loves, leaving him to grapple with grief and the looming threat of a global time-travel arms race. It is a bleak, branching narrative that demands you have played the original first, as it serves as a vital, gut-wrenching companion piece to the main story. Expect a slow-burn descent into psychological turmoil where the stakes are nothing less than the survival of humanity itself.
